Tea session @ PS Cafe, Palais

Yet another round of tea session with mummy's ex-colleagues/pals. We settle for the Palais one as Harding is inaccessible without a car. The environment is cosy though the aircon is freezing cold.. too bad we couldnt get an alfresco seating cos the weather has been cool lately.

I only managed to sample their bread this time.. no other dessert for me!

Oh no.. princess crying

What a baby friendly place this is.. can you guess where this place is?

Walking towards our next destination, Gleneagles, to visit my new fren, James Masao Gan who was born 2 days ago. While the journey is not exactly far, it's made so much easier with all the helping hands, for one, auntie Char! Imagine carrying me for 5 min in her killer wedges!

Wake up, James Masao..

While waiting for daddy to fetch me home, this is what keeps me entertained and sitting still.. buttons to press and i get to admire my own pics!

Kindermusik trial @ Tanglin Mall

The medication does wonder for me. It's only this morning at about 9am does mummy think that I am fit to go for the 45min trial - I get to meet my fren Cheryl once again.

There are only a total of 5 todds this morning. Of all the trials that mummy have gone, this is the most relaxing one! As usual, I still roam around instead of following the rhythm n beat but, its my own style of fun.

Lunch is a choice between Patara (Thai) vs Tetsu (Jap) and we decide on Patara since Citibank has a 1-1 promo on their weekday set lunch. Mummy and daddy prefer to have their Jap buffet next week when they can eat in peace w/o ME!

Happy Birthday to Mummy!

Makan time again!

Sick baby vs aqua doodle mat

I have been having watery poos 3 times a day for the past 3 days, and it become worse this morning as I poo 3 times from bedtime till morning until I cry out in pain! My anus area is red from all these acidic poo - poor me! And its apparent that i look so worn out and listless (prob din sleep well with all the pain in the tummy and down there) So mummy n daddy gotta rush me down to see a PD instead of an initial Fidgets playdate with Kaira, Hazel & Cheryl.

Mummy's heart sinks when she knows that I have lost as much as 300g - I only weigh 9.2kg now. Even my tummy has gone down half in size. Daddy was concerned a few days back if my tummy is too bloated.. well it's half gone now.

PD says I am having symptoms of stomach flu, hence explain why there's a lot of wind and rumbling sound in me. I am given probiotics to complete in 5 days and some diarrhoea medication. No fibre for the next few days and I can only consume starchy food such as rice, potato, plain bread while some meat is ok. But fruits, and vege is a no-no for now.

After 1 dose of medication, I appear to be much better, (I've been a good baby in finishing my medication this time, phew..) so mummy brings out my X'mas gift - an aqua doodle mat so we can have a fun time making "hand presses" and "squibbling".. I manage to splash all water out at the end of the session, but it's a lot of fun!

1 more day and I turn 14 months!

I am turning 14 months in another day's time.

- attempt to run and march
- cimb stairs (up/down) with support
- can squat well
- can remove socks readily
- enjoys emptying objects from one container and put into another
- likes to open and close object; can open and close the ruyi oil bottle easily
- enjoys pressing buttons and switch on/off radio/vcd & dvd players/fan

- says pa-pa and ma-ma more readily (chinese intonation)
- says "oh.." whenever an object drops/falls onto the floor, and "up"
- makes a lot of "gibberish" - string of incomprehensible words especially if she is "talking on the phone"
- blow kisses
- understands the word "hug" and enjoys "hugging" stuff toys
- signs "no more"
- understands more of what adults say, replying with a "nod" to signal yes or "shake head" to represent no
- understand and signs sleep, and will walk into bedroom by herself come bedtime
- able to point correctly to "cheese" and "banana" when shown the pics
- picks up books to "read"
- start to self feed with spoon and fork (though mummy has to help out most of the time)
- "helps" around by cleaning the table with a cloth/hand at times
- more independent and has her own opinion - cannot force her into doing what she doesn't want

- 5 visible teeth (3 on top and 2 below)

On the whole, I am still as sociable if not - no wary for stranger at all! (minus the time I am sleepy and only want mummy/grandma..) And I have already dropped my morning nap, so my new nap time is around 1+pm to 3+pm.

A typical routine now is as follows:

8:00am : Morning milk feed of 210ml
8:30am : Breakfast
12:00pm : Lunch (or earlier)
1:30pm : Mid-afternoon milk feed of 210ml, followed by my afternoon nap
4:30pm : Snacks (depends what time I wake up)
6:30pm : Dinner
8:00pm : Night milk feed of 210ml
9:00pm : Dreamland

Kite flying

There is a big grass patch nearby our house where many people flock to during the weekend. Its perfect for kite flying given the big compound with no high rise building nearby, and of course, its windy too which makes kite flying a breeze.

Signs of falling sick..

After the night bath and followed by the last milk feed, Zee Yann vomits almost all her dinner out and it is all over mummy, cos mummy happens to be carrying her. Of course mummy isnt upset at all cos this is the first time Zee Yann vomitted food. Mummy and daddy are so worried but we thought she could have over-eat hence we'll monitor her for another day. Anyway, what else could we do (except to rush into A&E) at that time of the day? We choose to take this in our stride..

The whole night, we are trying to piece and reason why it happens. Too much snacks in the day? Teething? (cos 2 new teeth recently sprouted)Maybe.. or could it be related to the falling incidents that happened on Friday and Saturday? Poor Zee Yann falls down twice - and twice we didn't witness it, so we can't tell where she is hurt.. we are guessing its prob the head. And coincidentally, on Saturday morning, she merlion out her morning milk feed within minutes after she finishes it. As the vomitted milk still looks like its original form, we aren't too concern, also we thought it could be related to the fall.

But thinking back, all these probably are little signs of her falling sick.

Shopping cum Dinner @ Causeway Point

It's becoming more n more challenging to bring princess out for shopping - not when she doesn't want to sit in the stroller nor want to be carried. She wants to walk just like everyone else and can you imagine a little gal of barely 77cm walking amok in the crowded shopping centre? To make it worse, she will want to tug at the shirts be it on display or on the shelves. We gave up after maybe 2 hours (including a short break of teh n roti at Ya Kun) and head straight for dinner at 6pm+.

Thank goodness dinner is more peaceful with princess making eye and hand gestures with the older gal a table away from us. At least, she will sit still for a longer while. Daddy has to keep calling her to get her attention in order to feed her. Halfway through dinner, the restaurant manager even gives out various sculpted balloons to the toddlers and kids for free. And I got a red poodle!

The poodle can't withstand my rough handling and gets untwisted after a while. See how enthusiastic I am in trying to "resuscitate" the poor poodle?

Nov '07 Mummies hi-tea @ Shang Rose Veranda

Auntie Serene is back from Netherlands with Kaira mei-mei till CNY, so a few mummies get together to welcome them! Of course, we don't deny we are there for the food too - who can resist dessert buffet consisting of different yummy cakes? But mummy thinks the savouries are nothing great except the mochi. As usual, mummy goes straight for the cakes, and can't remember how many servings she has after all the sugar intake.

The highlight for me is of course my teething biscuits as well as having a playmate alongside.

Look at us busy poking at the cherries on the Christmas tree!

Look at the 3 beauties!
