I am 10 months old!

Another month has gone by, and I turn 10 months old today! Grown juz a little bit taller & heavier, and definitely much more vocal in expressing my likes and dislikes. I can babble really well, at times I may even mimic sounds resembling real words. I start to wave goodbye but not all the time, and sometimes waving my arm for some unknown reason. But I can be very temperamental, so dun mess around with me! Or I can be sweet like honey, with a smile that can melt your heart. Ok, I can be either a devil or angel, depending..

Mummy & daddy have since given up on me in cruising & touching every little thing that I can get hold of in the house (keep those handphones & remote controls out of my sight!) - but they do interfere when I go out of hands, for instance, in trying to climb up the coffee table so I can reach out for those gadgets.. or to tug at the unsecured wires/cables.. sometimes I may pause and look at mummy but more often than not, my determination is not wavered.

Sick baby part II

My fever has since subsided, but my cough seems to have deteriorated with the accumulating phlegm stuck in the throat. I tried so hard to cough out the phlegm but in vain, so off we go to the PD for more advice & medicine.

It's not apparent that I am sick as I still have my 2 meals & 4 milk feeds per day & not forgetting my favourite playtime. Now my favourite activity is to pick up the phone as though mimicking the adults having a conversation.




I am prescribed with stronger medicine, and hopefully that means I get to rest more & recover faster!

Sick baby but still having lotsa fun with daddy!

I've fallen sick for the very first time...

My poor baby.. sick for the very first time - fever and running nose, it will take some time for her to recover fully..

Today is aunt Karen's ROM solemnization lunch and Nov mummies gathering. Mummy was hoping to join both, but unfotunately, I refuse to nap outside, and by 3pm+, I was so cranky that we have to head home straight.

And it's a good thing that I didn't go for the gathering, cos I start to develop a running nose come night time.. and I am like a koala bear, keep clinging onto mummy as long as possible!

My first bus ride with Mummy

Daddy will be home tonite, yippee! Was that the reason why I decide to start the day early? By the time I wake up from my afternoon nap, its only 2pm. So off we go for my first bus ride with mummy for some tea!

How time flies... 9 years have since passed and my little princess is already 9 months+.

Rainy, Sleepy day!

Gone are the days that I can sleep through the night without much stirring. Where it used to be the norm, now it becomes a rarity. And i am not waking up for milk, nor to play, maybe I just need some assurance or cuddle, perhaps its the wet pampers - but usually after some cuddling, I will fall back to sleep within minutes.

And what a wet, rainy day it is & i sleep a lot - usual morning nap of 1 hr stretches from 9:30am ~ 11:15am, which could have been longer if not for mummy resorting to measures in waking me up. After lunch @ grandpa's place, I have a short cat nap of 15min in the car and by 2:45pm, I am in la la land again.. all the way till 4:15pm. Mummy chooses to nap with me so that she has the energy to keep up with me for the rest of the day hence missing out on daddy's sms chat.

The weather continues to be gloomy with slight drizzling, so we stay indoors to catch the Olympic marathon as well as the closing ceremony. And by 8:45pm, I zonk out again.

Happy Birthday aunt Gin!

It's aunt Gin's birthday celebration today, and we are promised a BIG feast! Mummy plans to let me have a good afternoon nap, as we will be reaching home past my ZZz time.





I can't have my meals without "tools" in my hands now - see I can hold my utensils so well - do I look like I can self-feed? (Poor mummy has to keep picking up my fork & spoon throughout the lunch.. kekeke)



After a good afternoon nap of almost 2 hours, I have to entertain myself while waiting for mummy to dress.

Mummy gets to tuck into the big feast as aunt Sherlyn helps to carry/entertain me, all except the black pepper crab! By then, it is 8:30pm & usually not my best time of the day, can't blame me for acting up right?

My bedtime routine

Mummy cradled me to sleep last nite by 9pm, but I woke up at 1am to continue my "fun time". Perhaps there's too much playing just before bedtime.. well not that I'm really complaining..

4D 3rd prize!

Our car plate number finally strikes the 3rd prize, straight! But only grandmas' strike a nominal sum of $1K each.. probably just enough to cover all those bets for the past few months! Well, it's still better than nothing.. count your blessings!

It's a Boy!

Congrats to Chow & Tanya on their first born! I have 1 more playmate soon, too bad they are staying in Bangkok so we won't get to meet up as often.. wonder how's aunt Tanya doing now?

Baked fish & potato gratin for lunch, so mummy doesn't have to cook 2 meals for just the 2 of us. Not too bad for someone who can't cook.


A funny episode happens in the afternoon, mummy makes a mistake in wanting to change my diaper right after I wake up, and of course I simply refuse to cooperate. So she thinks it might be easier to wear the diaper pants on me on the floor - MISTAKE! I end up peeing on her, and all over the floor! What a mess to clean up thereafter..

Evening time, mummy brings me out for a stroll using the baby bjorn carrier since I won't sit still in the stroller anymore. But the carrier is getting too small for me, and its lucky for mummy that she din develop a backache afte that. Now mummy can't wait for me to learn how to walk by myself. I am sure she will hv second thoughts once she has to start chasing me around.. kekeke

My new toy - Leapfrog LittleTouch!

17 Aug 2008 (Sun): A little gift from mum - and immediately she can't wait to let me try it.. instead of using finger, I think palm works faster?? And I hv to admit that this paper quality is really good, no matter how I try to crush it, it doesn't tear or crumple as easily as tissue paper or magazine pages...
(Mummy: Adult supervision required at all times!)





I have not been playing this musical ball for sometime - and once I figure out where all the farnie sounds come from, the rest is history...



We stay indoors most of the time today, reason being mummy wants to watch the live telecast of Olympics table tennis final - with Singapore up against powerhouse China. It's heartwarming to see our National flag rising, & how would it feel if its our national anthem being sung too? I hope it won't take us another 48 years..

Dinner @ Cartel

Dinner with auntie Doreen & Sherlynn, not forgetting Destinee too @ Bishan Cartel. I've finally found my match - Destinee is so quick in "snatching" whatever I am holding. No upperhand for me at all despite being taller! I am so used to bullying the other gor-gor, & totally not used to being the victim.. I shall fight back the next time!

Panda eyes on National Day??

It's one of those rare nites when I woke up in the wee hours. Daddy saw how hard I tried to get back to sleep by myself at 2am+, tossing here and there, but unsuccessfully. So I finally resorted to crying out for help! Mummy was so deep in her sleep that it's almost impossible to wake her up from sleep fully. She tried patting me on the king-sized bed but it doesn't work. It's only after mummy carried & pat me to sleep for approx 10 min before I drift back to dreamland.. by then it was almost 4am & everyone is dead tired!

Lunch is at grandparent's place followed by a quick shopping at Tampines Mall. It's so hard to keep me seated in my stroller nowadays! Tea break is at Ya Kun & I get my fair share of bread & banana right on mummy's lap.

As its National Day today - daddy & mummy decides to avoid the crowded Marina area & we stayed home for the rest of the day. I am busy cruising the house as usual, tearing magazine, tissue paper into pieces the moment I lay my hands on. Daddy even witness me taking 3 quick strides in a row, before going right down.. it happens so quickly that mummy din see it, but I guess in no time, they have to start chasing after me.. heehee.
